Hey everyone! I have 8 gopros facing inward towards one subject. Trying to figure out how to do a full rotation around the subject with this stitching software, but can't figure it out. Anyone have experience with this or have any ideas?

John Fairhall Hi Siyq,
As I'm a newbie to this I wouldn't normally reply as what you're trying sounds rather tricky and I wouldn't want to risk wasting your time. However, as you've not had a reply from anyone I figured you might
What you're trying to do sounds a lot like motion capture and I don't think video stitch is designed to do it.
If it is possible then my hunch is it would be something like this:
- Add video clips to project
- Sync them - audio or flash
- Go to calibrate and choose manual template.
- In PTGUI delete all the automatic control points and add your own around the subject.
- Not sure but maybe one of the projections in it (cylinder?) would let you preview the image.
- Once happy save the template and apply it to video stitch.
If PTGUI does what you want but Video Stitch doesn't you could convert the videos into jpgs and batch stitch them all. Then convert the stitched images back into video.
If you do manage it I'd love to the see the results and hear how it was achieved.
Best of luck!
