This configuration is based on Elmo cameras and goes up to 3K.
The camera used are the Qbic Panorama X: http://www.video-stitch.com/360-camera-rigs-elmo/
The HDMI and power cables we use are straight ones (not angled).
We use this USB hub to power the cameras: http://www.amazon.fr/Chargeur-Secteur-USB-Ports-Anker/dp/B00Q4LFQWG/ref=sr_1_1
The acquisition cards are Magewell HDMI-to-USB3 converters (XI100DUSB-HDMI). They allow us to use the laptop USB ports to get the input signal from the camera. You will need one adaptor (and one USB port) per camera that is 4 with this rig.
The laptop is: Gigabyte P34W v3 (512Go/W8.1). We picked this laptop because it has a good NVidia graphics card and 4 USB 3.0 ports.
Note: to use a dongle and not an Internet-based license, or an Oculus Rift, you will need a powered USB hub.
Advanced options
You can of course use other setups, and other cameras if they are compatible with the Magewell USB dongles and if you have enough USB ports.
